John Dong's Simple Birthday Get Away

There is no happier than seeing the little ones happy. Just so lucky that they can be satisfied with a simple lakwatsa like this.

First Day At The Big School

No, the news is not true that Abi is the favorite.

First Day High

There is no denying.

We are now a parents of a high school student. This is supposed to be a milestone on his life but I wasn't able to hide the disappointments and so was he.

Not that I was blaming Tin-tin for passing but her loss has somewhat impacted us financially. So the initial plan of sending the kids to a private school was delayed. And off he went today to his first day high at Holy Spirit Annex.

The supposed to be fun-filled and exciting day for my son became yet a challenge to him to strive harder so he'll step up next school year.

And the formal classes hasn't been started yet.

2012 Mother's Day Gift

There could be no other better Mother's Day gift for someone like me than seeing them always. They have no idea how "praning" I can get whenever I miss the day without them - completely.

Nail Biting - What Does It Want To Tell Us Parents?

Been seeing this thing on the two little ones for several instances already - mostly when I was away working. On cam I would see them bite their nails just suddenly. Often times I would tell them that that is bad and they might get germs and parasites.

But for us parents, what is this action or behaviour want to tell us?

Recognition Day

My little charmer bagged the best in writing, most courteous and most well-groomed.

Technology - My Alliance or My Enemy?

This has been an endless battle since my eldest John Dale has been noticeably inclined and good at it - using mobile phones (games!), family computers (games) and arcade machines (games).

Now I am blaming technology for not achieving our goal - to graduate in primary school as top 1.

But is it right to blame technology? Is it our alliance or enemy?

Technology has been there before my son was born. A lot has been born after technology has been introduced to us. Some achieve their goals some don't.

So what is the common factor? That achieving one's goal for our children is mainly our responsibility or the lack of it. Let us not point fingers and blame others.

I realized with a helping hand, we could have disciplined him, gave him limitations and priorities, we could have won the battle with technology-freaked children like mine.

Not Yet A Man, Child No More - Dealing With Your Teen Ager Part 1

John Dale @ Jollibee, Mar. 27, 2012
My eldest son has grown so much at least to me. But for his age, he should be taller than me already only if he is fortunate to have gotten his Papa's genes.

Keeping The Habit

I felt some feelings of regret reading back the old posts. i should have been more aggressive in upkeeping the blog. i found some entries surprisingly surprising. i didn't even know they happened.
